As stated by the ARBA, Holland Lops are the smallest ARBA recognized lop breed, weighing in at only 2-4 lbs. It's hard to say whether it's their sweet chunky face, wide short body, loving disposition, or overall cuteness, but there is something about Hollands that makes your heart melt. Like so many others that have fallen for the breed, I fell in love at first sight.
Showing in the Northeastern United States is super competitive, with many nationally successful breeders living within a short distance from my rabbitry. But because of this, I had the priviledge of starting out with some excellent beginner stock. Through the years, I've been able to expand and improve to the point where I am today.

Oak Ridge Rabbitry in Central, Pennsylvania
I am 21 years old and majoring in Agricultural Science at Penn State University. I've been raising rabbits on a small scale since the 7th grade and started with my Hollands in January of 2005. I was a member of 4-H for around 8 years and gained a lot of experience and knowledge through that. I also continue to involve myself with 4-H through helping other children get started in Holland Lop projects, as well as attending and helping out at rabbit club events and shows.
Lastly, I realize that I have not made it this far by myself and would like to take a moment to thank those who have helped me throughout the years. Also, my family who gave me my first bunny and began it all. Whether by helping me feed at night, clean cages, or drive me to shows, my family has been more supportive than most in this hobby and I'm forever in debt to you for the opportunity you've given me. So THANK YOU to all who have helped me thus far, and to those who continue to support Oak Ridge Rabbitry.

As I like to say, there are no strangers in life, only friends I have not met. So if I have not met you yet, I would love to hear your questions and comments. I also love just chatting bunnies, so don't hesitate to send an e-mail hopping my way!
See you at the shows!
