If you are interested in purchasing one of our rabbits for show/brood or as a companion pet, we would appreciate it if you would review our Sales Policy. This illustrates a common understanding and expectation of the sales process for both you and I.

PRICING POLICY
· Show Quality- $75+ A show quality rabbit is free of disqualifications at the time of sale. This is a rabbit who is either proven on the show table, or one who I feel would place well within a competitive group of rabbits. However, I cannot guarantee show success, as judges' opinions vary.
· Brood Quality- $50-75 A brood quality rabbit is a rabbit who I feel would be an asset to your herd as a breeding animal. Brood animals may have minor faults or non-genetic disqualifications that make them undesirable as show rabbits.
· Companion Quality- $25-35 All of our rabbits are handled from the time of their birth and mature to be very friendly, family-oriented pets and companions. These rabbits may be undesirable as show or breeding rabbits, but they are hand-picked and chosen as exceptionally personable animals who would do well in a pet home.
· Discounts- Oak Ridge Rabbitry encourages and supports 4-H and ARBA Youth members. One way we do this is by offering a 10% discount on any of our sale rabbits for 4-H and Youth. We also offer a 10% discount to anyone on purchases of multiple rabbits.
HOLDING POLICY
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve a rabbit, for any period of time. The remaining balance is due at the time of pickup. Rabbits may not leave the premises without being paid for in full.
We will hold a rabbit for up to 14 days after the deposit is received, unless prior agreements were made between both the selling and the buying parties. If the rabbit has not been picked up within this amount of time, the deposit will be forfeited and the rabbit placed back up for sale.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
At this time, we accept cash or money order only. No personal checks, please.
GENERAL POLICIES
· Oak Ridge Rabbitry does not sell rabbits under the age of 8 weeks old. No exceptions. Selling rabbits any younger is irresponsible on the breeder’s part, considering the health and proper weaning of litters. However, it is also ILLEGAL to sell rabbits under the age of 2 months (8 weeks) in the state of Pennsylvania.
· Absolutely NO meat sales, no exceptions. Any e-mails requesting the sale of rabbits for commercial use will be deleted without response.
· No sales to anyone under the age of 18 without a parent or guardian present at the time of sale. We support and encourage youth breeders, but want to ensure that parents are aware of the exchange.
· As we’re working with live animals, I reserve the right to refuse a sale at any time, for any reason. If I cancel a sale, any deposits received will be refunded.
TRANSPORT
We attend various county Youth fairs and ARBA sanctioned shows in Pennsylvania throughout the year. We are more than happy to transport sale animals to these shows, free of charge. Purchases must be picked up by 12 noon, or the rabbit will be placed back up for sale.
We also encourage sales at the rabbitry, as this creates less stress on the rabbits than making an extra stop at the show. Please e-mail us to make arrangements as far as transport.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
Our rabbits come with a 14 day health guarantee. If an illness or death occurs, please contact me immediately to determine whether you are eligible for a refund. A replacement rabbit of equal quality or a monetary refund will be considered with a written diagnosis from a certified veterinarian. Any veterinary or medical costs are the sole responsibility of the owner of the rabbit.
This health guarantee does not apply to situations involving illness or death created by unnecessary stress, neglect, mistreatment, overhandling, or mishandling.
Although we only have a 14 day guarantee, if you have any health-related problems with your rabbit during the first year of ownership, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
RETURN POLICY
When buying from Oak Ridge Rabbitry, you gain lifetime support and advice from myself and my family. If you find, at any time, that you can no longer provide the care your rabbit needs, please contact us immediately. We will take back any rabbit we have sold, at any time, free of charge. We do ask that you please provide the cage, feed, and water containers. Sometimes it takes a period of time to rehome the rabbit, and extra cage space is not always available in our rabbitry. When your rabbit is rehomed, you will be contacted to pick up your cage and equipment.
Oak Ridge Rabbitry offers no express or implied guarantees regarding the purchase of listed rabbits. Guarantees are specifically limited to this policy. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our sales policy, please feel free to send me an e-mail with your questions.
